Geraldine P. Davidson Of Binghamton, NY Mrs. Geraldine Marshall Davidson passed away on October 18th after several years of declining health. She left peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter in Sayre. She was born February 27, 1934 in Susquehanna, the daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn Smith Marshall. In 1952 she married her high school sweetheart, Stanley Davidson with whom she spent 65 happy years. She was a devout Catholic who attended Laurel Hill Academy and was a member of the Royal Order of Hibernians. Very proud of her Irish heritage, in her younger years she spent many hours researching her family genealogy. Regardless of where she lived, she always held a special place in her heart for Susquehanna and especially St John’s Roman Catholic Church. She is predeceased by her parents and by her brothers, Joseph and Michael Marshall, by her nephew, Eric Marshall, and her special granddaughter, Jenna Peterson. In addition to her husband, she is survived her daughters and their spouses: Kathryn (Joseph) Matis of Susquehanna, Cynthia (Frank) Freita of Johnson City, Sandra (Michael) Brewer of Sayre, and Heather (Vincent) Peterson of Milford DE. She was very proud of her grandchildren: Julie(David) Matis Beard, Michael (Elizabeth) Matis, Ellen Matis, Jessica Hobart, Melissa Hobart Gray (Michael Cole), Ashley (JR) Hobart Wright, Lisa (Kostantinos) Brunk Makris, Kevin (Danielle) Brunk, Kristen (John) Peterson Pizzariella, and Alex Peterson. She was grateful to have known great grandchildren: Maura and Evan Beard, Lilliann and Matthew Matis, Benjamin Stull, Adilynn Hobart, Anna Gray, Landyn and Larissa Cole, Erin and Jonathan Wright, Emmelia Makris, Karson and Parker Brunk, and Kaiden Turner. The family is grateful for the compassionate assistance of Guthrie Hospice. Thank you Amanda, Karen, and Melissa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11am. Interment will be held in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA on Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 3 to 6pm.
