Gertrude “Dolly” L. Lonzinski Of Great Bend, PA       Dolly Lonzinski, 71, of Great Bend, PA, passed away Wednesday December 31, 2014, at her home after an illness. Dolly was predeceased by her parents Henry and Gertrude Schaffer; son Edward M. Lonzinski; Sister Carol V. Warner; and brother-in-law Terry Steinsto. She was survived by her loving husband of 49 years Michael E. Lonzinski of Great Bend, PA; son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Kathy Lonzinski of New Milford, PA; daughter Laura Conarton, of New Milford, PA; son-in-law, Anthony Conarton of Great Bend, PA; brothers David and Pearl Schaffer, of Levittown, PA, Paul Schaffer, of Harford, PA, and James and Lisa Schaffer of New Milford, PA; sisters Audrey Steinsto, Tonsberg, Norway, and Linda and Charles Canfield, New Milford, PA; brother-in-laws, Clark Warner Jr. of Kinsley, PA, and Richard Lonzinski and Rene Neville, of Johnson City, NY; grandchildren Scott and Danielle Lonzinski, Matthew Lonzinski and Samantha Lonzinski; great grandchildren Kamryn, Wesley, Evan, and Gavin Lonzinski; precious friends Keith and Maxine Gunn, of Susquehanna, PA; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Dolly was a member of the Great Bend Hose Co. #1 Inc. since February 1977 where she served as the Department Secretary for 16 years and Treasurer of the Relief Association for the past 5 years. She served 15 years on the Great Bend Boro Council and was President of the Council for 12 years. Dolly was a past member of the Great Bend Hallstead Ambulance and was an EMT. She also was a member of the United Community Methodist Church, in Great Bend, PA where she was the former Choir Director and Organist for several years. Most important to Dolly was her family who cherished her and will miss her dearly. A Memorial Service will held at the Great Bend Hose Co. #1 Inc. Fire Station, 54 Tannery St., Great Bend, PA, on Saturday January 17, 2015 at Noon, with Rev. James Major Officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Fire Station from 11am till noon, on January 17, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Great Bend Hose Co. #1 Inc., P.O. Box 201, 54 Tannery St. Great Bend, PA 18822; Great Bend Hallstead Ambulance, 5 Carroll St. Great Bend, PA 18822; the Hospice of the Sacred Heart 600 Baltimore Dr. Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702; Broome Oncology Inc. 169 Riverside Dr. Binghamton, NY, 13905.
