Harold Winton Wheeler Of Susquehanna, PA Harold Winton Wheeler, 84, of Bethel Hill Rd., Susquehanna, PA passed away at his home on Thursday, March 27, 2014, after an illness.He was born in Susquehanna, PA, the son of the late Linus A. and Ruby Wheeler.Harold was predeceased by his son Robert Wheeler; three brothers Leon, John, and Richard Wheeler; and two sisters Jean Gross and Josephine Burdick.He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Audrey (French) Wheeler; two sons Jeff and Susan Wheeler, and Michael Wheeler; two daughters Denise and Ken Bowerman, and Roxanne Moyer; one brother Austin Wheeler; two sisters, Viola Harris, and Mary Plutino; and two grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.Harold served his country in the United Sates Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #86 and the Freedom Lodge #328. Harold worked as the maintenance supervisor at the Susquehanna Community School District until his retirement. He was “taskmaster” who was also a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.A funeral service will be held at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 4pm with Pastor Gary Day officiating.Interment will be held in the North Jackson Cemetery, North Jackson, PA at a later date.The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4pm.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Susquehanna, PA.
