Harriet Purdy Rumola

Harriet Rumola, 87, of Port Crane, NY, formerly of Deposit, NY, passed away on the morning of September 14, 2025. She was born on November 15th, 1937, and was adopted by Francis & Florence Purdy as a baby.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband of 58 years Lawrence Rumola in 2018, their son Richard Rumola, grandson Lawrence Rumola, and Titan.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Rumola; daughters, Debbie (Steve) Horoszewski and Patty (Wayne) Sherwood; grandsons: Jake Hororszewski, (Lauren) Navy Chief Petty Officer Nicholas (Beth) Sherwood, Luke Rumola, and Brody; granddaughters Rachel and Ashley Rumola and several great grandchildren.

Harriet was a stay at home mother and assisted her husband with his contracting business for 49 years.

Special thanks to the staff of South 2 at Willow Point Nursing Home for the excellent care given to her and our family.

Family and friends will gather for a graveside service on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1pm at Anthony Cemetery, 536 North Sanford Road, Deposit, NY 13754. Arrangements are being handled by Hennessey’s Funeral Home in Deposit, NY.
