Helen E. Haynes, 95, of Starrucca, PA, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY.

She was predeceased by her parents Russell & Amelia (Staerker) Box, husband Donald Haynes Sr.; and brother William George Box.

Helen is survived by her children Donald & Millie Haynes Jr. of Starrucca, PA, Diana & Bernie Hurlburt, Jackson, PA; Dale & Joe Eskow, Bainbridge, NY , Darl & Carol Haynes, of Starrucca, PA,  Darwin Haynes, of Starrucca, PA; grandchildren Donnie & Patsy Haynes, David Haynes, Jason Hurlburt, and Marcus Eskow; great grandchildren, Regan, Riley, and William Haynes; siblings, Leona Box, Russell Box Jr., Regina Lubbe and Ronald Lubbe; and cousin Betty Casey.

Helen served on the Starrucca Borough Council for several years. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, and word searches. Helen had a green thumb and raised several plants and flowers annually. She also helped work on the family Dairy Farm while raising her 5 children. Helen was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time her loving family.

A Private Graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Starrucca Cemetery.
