Howard Mitchell Stanton Mitch Stanton, 57, of Deposit, passed away in his home June 13th, 2021. Mitch was born on August 28th, 1963, in Walton, NY and graduated from Deposit Central School. He then worked as a superintendent of bridge construction at FAHS for many years before later becoming the traffic supervisor for CTC. Mitch was loyal, hard-working, dependable and was the boss everyone wanted to work with. Over the years, his work brought him many life-long friends, including his beloved wife Shellie. Mitch is predeceased by his parents, Harold “Fred” Stanton and Ann Stanton (Vandermark). He is survived by his wife Shellie Knight of Deposit, brother Harold Stanton Jr. of Delhi, 3 Daughters; Lacy (Brian) Hart of Afton, Brittany Stanton of Binghamton, Kaitlyn Stanton of Binghamton, and 3 Grandchildren. Mitch was a devoted father, who taught his girls many things, such as fishing, how to play ball and a great appreciation for good music. He loved his family, his work, the Yankees & Cowboys, listening to music, riding his motorcycle, flowers, warm weather and baseballs caps. Mitch planned to live out his retirement taking many long walks on the beach in Clearwater FL with Shellie. Mitch will be remembered for his notorious humor, his dedication to his career and loved ones and most of all for his loving heart. Per his request to be remembered as he was, no funeral services will be held.
