Ira “Skeet” Graves Of Susquehanna, PA Ira “Skeet” Graves, 73, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013, after an illness. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph Sr. and Madeline (Shay) Graves, three brothers; Harry, Edward Sr., and Ralph Jr., a sister Bernice, a son Michael and a grandson. “Skeet” is survived by his wife of 53 years Frances (Lawrence), a son Pat, a daughter Tina (Glen), two granddaughters Stephanie (Ray) Johnson and Haylie Graves, a grandson Aaron Whitney and a great granddaughter Phoebe Johnson, a sister Minnie Graves and a sister-in-law Margarete Graves, two brothers-in-law; Fred and Edwin Lawrence, two sisters-in-law; Della (Ben) Barnes, Kay (Fritz) Vail, several generations of nieces and nephews. Two very special friends Jim Whitman and Carol Lutchko. He worked several years at Interstate Burlap and Bag in the scrap yard and then owned his own scrap business until his retirement. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Susquehanna. The purpose of life is to make this world a better place and no one has done a better job that Ira “Skeet” Graves. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church, of Susquehanna, with Pastor Gary Day officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview, PA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA .
