James Barry Gorton

James B. Gorton Of Susquehanna, PA       Jim Gorton, 69 passed away peacefully Monday December 21, 2015 after an illness at his home because he didn’t want to stick around for winter. He was survived by his loving wife of 50 years Vivian (Vail) Gorton; 2 wonderful and helpful children Brian (Tracey) Gorton and Tina (Scott) VonWeinstein; 3 grandchildren Megan Gorton, Carli and Alex VonWeinstein which were the light of his life; and 2 brothers Bill (Marilyn) Gorton and Walt (Carol) Gorton. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and just taking walks in the woods. He saw several bears many of which he has taken pictures of. He liked animals better than people. He always said “If no one could visit me when I was alive why bother when I am dead.” So there will be no funeral services on his behalf. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart or the Alzheimer’s Association.
