James (Jim) Edward Hauber, 81, of Binghamton passed away after his battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at home.

Jim was predeceased by his parents George H. & Catherine T. (Volbrecht) Hauber; sisters Joan Patricia Austin and Barbara Hoadley, brother Thomas Hauber; niece Joan Marie Arrington; Clayton Warner and Denny Warner.

He is survived by his brothers-in-law Gary Austin, James (Jim) Hoadley, sister in-law Brenda Hauber; nieces and nephews Brian Hoadley, Jean Marie Haynes, Brandy (Marc) Cerbone, Scott Hauber, and Brett Hauber; many great nieces and nephews; Marge Warner, Ann Schambach, Tony Warner; Iris Warner, and dear friend Shiela Lindsley.

Jim was born and raised in Deposit, NY and graduated from Deposit Central High School where he was an outstanding student and played basketball and baseball.   Following his dreams for the future he enlisted in the United States Army. He traveled to Bennington, GA and was station there from 1960-1963 following active he served in the reserves until 1966. After the army he turned his interest to a life outdoors.  He was a successful self-employed landscaper for over 30 years.  He always enjoyed golfing with friends and family.

A private Interment will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY at a later date.
