James Allen Sellers

January 16, 1949 – September 29, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our loving brother, uncle, cousin and friend, James A. “Jim” Sellers, 74 of Middlesex, NC. He passed away at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Jim was a SP4 in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a former employee of Vail-Ballou Press. He never turned down anyone in need or a stray animal.

He was predeceased by his family, Audrey (Woodmansee) and Horace C. Sellers Sr., Carol (Bob) Jones, L. Judith (Ernest) Canfield, Charlotte Balmer; nephews Billy, Bruce & Brian Balmer, Julian Williams; and niece Lucinda Jones.

Jim is survived by his brother Horace C. (Marie) Sellers; A. Lucy (Jackie) Glover, Linda (Dennis) Cook; and many nieces and nephews.

As Jim was a life time member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post 86, you are more welcome to share in the Memory Gathering that we will have there on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:00pm.

Jim wrote the story of “Jimmy the Crow” in 1994 when growing up with the West Hill crew playing Baseball. Jim is now flying high with “Jimmy the Crow”.
