James “Freddy” Spencer, 69, of Deposit, NY, went home to the Lord on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

He was predeceased by his parents Betty Spencer and Frederick Spencer.

Freddy is survived by his niece Erin Rynearson (Michael), great nephews Mikey and Gabe Rynearson, nephew Alan Mills (Ch’erie), niece Lacy Sims, sister Penny Stevens, great nieces, and nephews as well as extended family.

Freddy worked for the Post Office, Village of Deposit, and The Country Store till he retired. He was a past member of the Deposit Fire Department serving as a firefighter/fire police. He enjoyed dirt track racing and attending the local tracks. Above all else was spending time with his family and friends including Beth Warner and Ed Burrows.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 1pm, at Christ Episcopal Church, 14 Monument St. Deposit, NY.

Interment will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday, November 10, 2023, 10am till 1pm.

In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 14 Monument St. Deposit, NY.
