James Paul White, Sr. Of Hallstead, PA James P. White, Sr., 67, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, surrounded by his family at the Highlands Care Center, LaPorte, PA, due to a battle of diabetes and lung cancer. James is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Eleanor (Hughes) White and a brother David White. He is survived by his wife Alice (Weibel) White and their four children; sons Jim and wife Jill, New Milford, PA, Robert and fiancé Aileen, Eaton, NJ, daughters Debra White and Lisa (White) Welsch and husband Michael, Hallstead, PA, also three sisters Marcia, Joyce and Patti Ann, Susquehanna, PA and a brother Allen, Scranton, PA, his four grandchildren Michael and Matthew Welsch and twins Kyle and Kaitlin White. James was a graduate of Susquehanna Community School, Susquehanna, PA. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He worked for many years for Penn Dot. James was a member of the American Legion Post #86 and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #794, both of Susquehanna, PA. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. At the family’s request, a memorial service will be held at a later date. We wish to thank the staff and Doctors and the Highlands Care Center for the time and care given to our father/brother during his stay there. He is at peace now and no longer in pain.
