Jayne C. BensonOf Windsor, NY Jayne C. Benson of Windsor, NY, passed away on May 15, 2014, surrounded by her family. Jayne is survived by her children Melvin E. Brown Jr. of Jordan, NY, Carol & David Scales of Susquehanna, Pa, Mary K. Brown of Ormond Beach, Fl, and David & Kathleen Brown of Kirkwood, NY, as well as several Grand Children and Great Grand Children. Mrs. Benson was a member of Eastern Star and the Grange, and she was an organist for many of the churches in the area. Mrs. Benson graduated from SUNY, Binghamton, and received her Master’s degree in Library Science from Western Kentucky University. Her career was spent as an Educator and she retired from Susquehanna Valley High School, as a Librarian in 2009. The family request that expressions of sympathy be as donations to the Windsor Fire Department. Windsor, NY There will be a memorial service at a later date.
