Jean E. Ellis Of Hancock, NY Jean E. Ellis, 79, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton, NY. She was born July 30, 1940 at home in Deposit, NY to Familiar & Gladys Stanton. She married Norman E. Ellis on October 5, 1991 in Deposit, NY. Jean was a caring woman who always put others first. She was a amazing mother and wife who was devoted to her family. Jean was predeceased by her parents Familiar & Gladys Stanton; two siblings, Don and Doris; and two sons William and John Hatch. She is survived by her loving husband Norman Ellis; ten children Karen & Rich Tiffany, Bob & Judy Ellis, Tamara & David Whitmore, Leslie & Mary Ellis, Mark & Debbie Ellis, Frank & Crystal Hatch, Scott & Janet Ellis, Tim& Julie Hatch, Melissa & John Eakle and Norman Ellis; two sisters Stella Scofield and Margaret Bonker; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY at 1pm. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 78 Second St. Deposit, NY on Monday, July 20, 2020 from Noon till 12:45pm. Masks will be required for entry into the Funeral Home.
