Jewell J. Steed Of Binghamton, NY Jewell J Steed, 97 years old passed away into the hands of the Lord on Saturday May 23, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, New York. She was born in Hart County Kentucky and was the eldest of 9 children. She moved to the Binghamton area in 2005 to be closer to her daughter. She was predeceased by her father Cecil and mother Lillian Jeffries and her husband of 50 years Vester O. Steed of Prescott Arkansas. She was also predeceased by her 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son Mikel Steed (Billie Jo) Lee Summit, Mo. and daughter Mary Steed Price (Thomas) Kirkwood, NY, and grandchildren Rick , Brad, Becky, Scott and Adam and 5 great grandchildren. The family sincerely appreciates the kindness and compassionate care given to Jewell by the Susquehanna Nursing facility in Johnson City, New York. Special thanks to Andrea Munley and very special CNA Patty Baker. Burial services will be in Prescott Arkansas at a later date.
