Joan C. Genneken, R.N. Of Gelatt, PA   Joan C. Genneken, 79 , of Gelatt, PA, went to be with her lord on Friday September 19, 2014, at the Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA. She was born in Passaic, NJ, daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Sadowski. Joan was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing and Felician College. She was survived by her loving husband of 57 years Andrew M. Genneken; 6 children, Andrew, Catherine, Christian, Steven, Peter and Thomas; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Karen Kologie and Pam Mallon; and niece Toni Guzman. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, North Jackson, PA, at 10 am on Monday, September 22, 2014, with Rev. David Cramer officiating. Interment will be held in the Gelatt Cemetery, Gelatt, PA. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Sunday, September 21, 2014, from 4 to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, North Jackson, PA.
