  Joan L. Swartz Of Starrucca, PA Joan L. Swartz, 65, of Starrucca, PA, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, November 21, 2013 She was predeceased by her father Frank Swavola, her mother and stepfather Phyllis and Harold McDonald, one brother Frank Thomas Swavola, father and mother-in-law Wendell and Marguerieta Swartz, sister-in-law Sharel Rhone. She is survived by her loving husband for 49 years Mark Swartz, Starrucca, PA one son John, Starrucca, PA, one daughter and son-in-law, Amy and John Wallace, of Joliet, Illinois one twin Sister , Joanne Swavola, Oneonta, NY, one brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Mary Swavola, Windsor, NY, brothers in law and sister in laws, Kent and Joanne Swartz, Fred Rhone, Sam and Shelly Allegrino, Keith and Sharon Terwilliger, James and Sheila Sullivan, Mark and Sherri Glover, three grandchildren Kansas, Marcus and Marquell Wallace and one great grandchild Haven Stephens, several nieces and nephews. Joan was a self employed housekeeper for many years.  She was a loving wife, loved her family deeply, lived for her grandchildren whom she loved more than life itself.  Loved her four dogs Shanuk, Sasha, Shayla and Harley. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at 11:00am at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA with Deacon John Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Starrucca Cemetery, Starrucca, PA, The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers send donations in her name  to SPCA or your local animal shelter.
