Joann Barnes

JoAnn Barnes Of Susquehanna, PA JoAnn Barnes of Susquehanna, PA went to be with her Lord at the age of 80. She was married to her best friend of 62 years, Albert R. Barnes, who survives her; as well as her daughters Kathryn and Kelly and her son Kyle. She was predeceased by her son Paul Barnes. “Granny Jo” was especially proud of her grandchildren, Margaret and David Decker. JoAnn loved being a nurse and after retiring she volunteered at Barnes Kasson SNF. She was an active and devout member of St. John’s Catholic Church (Most Holy Trinity Parish). Her language of love was feeding people. She was proud and grateful for the community of Susquehanna. Her stories, laughter, and unvarnished speaking the truth will be greatly missed by her family and friends. At JoAnn’s request there will be no Funeral Services. A Private interment will be held in St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
