Joel Hubal Sr., 79, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY.

He was predeceased by his parents Alex Hubal Jr. & Viva Hubal, and wife Pamela Hubal.

Joel is survived by his son Joel Hubal Jr. and Fiancé Kylie Slocum; grandson Alex Hubal; granddaughter Kendra Hubal; and sister-in-law Melanie Chanecka.

Joel was born in Susquehanna, PA on May 5, 1946, and graduated from Susquehanna Community High School in 1964. Following High School Joel served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. After his time in the service Joel worked as a Branch Manager at Binghamton Savings Bank. He also, tended bar at Moose Lodge 794 for 17 years and was also a lifetime member. Most recently was a part-time custodian at Susquehanna Community School District. He was an avid sports memorabilia collector and enjoyed playing men’s league softball in Hallstead, PA. Joel coached varsity softball and assistant coached high school football at Susquehanna. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at a later date for both Joel and Pamela in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Thompson, PA.
