John Paul Barnes, 78, of Susquehanna, PA passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at The Regional Hospital in Scranton, PA after an illness.

He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Lillian (Depoe) Barnes; 5 brothers Alvin, Donald, Roger, Herb and Henry; and a sister Martha.

John is survived by 5 brothers Clyde, Albert, Tom, Fred, Raymond; and 2 sisters Florence and Marion.

John was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Susquehanna and played the organ at church services for many years. He worked as a tool and die maker for many years before retirement from Universal Instruments Corp of Conklin, NY.

Burial will be in the North Jackson Cemetery in North Jackson, PA.

As per John’s request a private service was held by the family.
