John Albert Hendrickson Of Susquehanna, PA John A. Hendrickson, 63 of Susquehanna, PA was called away to be with the Lord on Friday, September 29, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents George Hendrickson and Emma Brown; and step mother Margaret Bovee. John is survived by his loving wife Rose (Alinio) Hendrickson; son Mark Hendrickson and Trish; daughter Jennifer and Richard Grausgruber; three sisters Sandy Morey, Barbara Pollizi, and Viola McConnell; three grandchildren Angelica Brink, Alyssa Monks, and Grace Ann Hendrickson; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends. John was a veteran of the United Sates Army serving in Bamburg, Germany and later in his life he served the PA Army National Guard. Following his time in the service he became a truck driver by trade and a Teamster by blood. He was a member of the Canawacta Rod and Gun Club, the NRA, Masonic Freedom Lodge of Thompson, PA, and the American Legion Post 86 of Susquehanna, PA. He was proud to serve the Susquehanna Borough as Councilman, Emergency Management Coordinator and Past Mayor. Most important to John was his family who will miss him dearly. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11am at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA with Pastor Gary Day officiating. Interment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5 to 8pm.
