John “Jack” Hennessey Of Johnson City, NY John Joseph Hennessey, 92, passed away peacefully at Wilson Memorial Hospital after a short illness on April 15, 2015. John was known for his big heart and was a friend to all that crossed his path. John was born in Binghamton, NY and resided in the triple cities all of his life. John served his country in the US Air Force and served in World War II. John was a City of Binghamton Fire Fighter after he left the Air Force and later worked for Syracuse Supply Company as a salesman. John always enjoyed his pets and always had a dog or cat at his side from a local shelter. John was predeceased by his parents Donald & Elizabeth, his first wife Betty, his second wife Mildred, two sons Jerry and Michael and two brothers Gerald & Robert. He is survived by his stepson and daughter in law, Wayne and Karen Schneider, and grandchildren Scott Schneider, Stacy (Eric) Rudock, and Susan Schneider. Also close friends of the family, Janice Hennessey, former daughter in law, and Susan Klinger. John became a great grandfather just prior to his death with the birth of Michael Christopher Rudock on 4/12/15. Memorials in John’s name may be given to Every Dogs Dream Rescue 1270 State Route 206, Greene, NY, 13778. A Private family graveside service will be held at family’s convenience. Arrangements are by Hennessey Funeral Home of Susquehanna Pa.
