John Raymond Klym

John “Ray” Klym, 82, of State St. Oakland, PA passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY.
Ray was predeceased by his parents John and Josephine Klym; brothers Daniel Klym and Patrick Klym.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Lillian (Plutino) Klym, daughter Amy Denise Conklin, and the light of his life; grandson Kevin A. Conklin; sister Barbara Glover; sisters-in-law Carol Klym, Mary & Jesse Gow, Linda & Richard Norris; and Ann Plutino; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ray graduated from Susquehanna High School in 1957. After High School he served in the United States Navy from 1958-1962. He then worked at Vail-Ballou Press and later worked for the railroad for 20 years. After the railroad Ray spent over 10 years driving for Barnes-Kasson Transportation until retirement. Ray enjoyed gardening, ice fishing, hunting, bowling, puzzles, and traveling with his wife. He was a member of American Legion Post 86, Moose Lodge 794, and St. John’s Church all located in Susquehanna. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Noon at St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA.
The family will receive friends at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 4 to 7pm.
