John (Jack) F. McMahon Of Susquehanna, PA John (Jack) F. McMahon, 96, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at the Barnes Kasson SNF, Susquehanna, PA. Jack was born in Susquehanna, PA on November 24, 1917, to the late James H. and Gertrude (King) McMahon. He was predeceased by his loving wife in 1996 Barbara (Brush) McMahon. Jack was survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and his extended Barnes Kasson SNF family, where he resided for the past 11 years. Jack served in the United States Army during WWII as a yardmaster, in France. After the war he worked as a yardmaster for the ERIE Railroad until his retirement. He was a lifelong resident of Susquehanna, PA, where he belonged to the St. John’s Church and also served on the Susquehanna Community School District Board for several years. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. B. Patel and the staff at the Barnes Kasson SNF for their excellent care of Jack. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, PA, on Friday, October 3, 2014, at 10am, with Rev. David Cramer officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Ridge Cemetery, Brushville, PA.
