Joseph A. Holmes, 69, of Ararat Township PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Allied Services Hospice in Scranton, PA. He was born December 16, 1954, son of the late Everett & Stephanie Holmes.

Joseph enjoyed hunting trips to Colorado and Canada with friends. He will always be remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand and having a heart full of kindness.

Family was the cornerstone of his life. Most of all he loved sharing his passion for vegetable gardening with his grandchildren, Aunalie, Logan, Adaline, Ila-Mae; as this was his happy place talking to his plants.

Joseph was predeceased his parents and sister Roxann.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie; son and daughter-in-law Nick & Shaunna; daughter and son-in-law Sarah & Keith.

A Private Service will be held by the family at a later date. Interment will be in Starrucca Cemetery, Starrucca, PA.
