Joseph J. Kapcsandi Jr.

Joseph J. Kapcsandi Jr. Of Starrucca, PA       Joseph John Kapcsandi Jr. was born May 14, 1950 in Edison, NJ (born in New Brunswick) to Joseph John Kapcsandi and Beverly Munch Kapcsandi. He tragically passed away on July 6, 2018, in Susquehanna, PA.; Joe was 68 years old.   Joe is survived by his wife Martha and sons, Joseph III and Christopher, and his daughter Ashley. Unfortunately, Joe’s deceased family members are his Mother and Father.   Joe was born and raised in Edison, NJ with his brother, Thomas, and sister, Linda. He served in the United States Army after high school (1969-76) and once discharged, Joe became an expert carpenter and electrician, eventually joining the Carpentry Union, Local 1006, in Edison. He raised his boys: Joey and Chris, before getting remarried to Martha and raising Ashley from 1992 until just recently. Joe and Martha moved to Starrucca, PA in 1997 and remained active members of the community. Joe was an avid bowler and loyal fan of NASCAR. He was a dedicated member of the local Susquehanna American Legion and enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs. His exuberance for life will be missed.   The mass will take place, Tuesday July 10, at St Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church in Jackson, PA at 11 AM. There will be a viewing at the Hennessey Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA from 6 – 8 PM (also on Tuesday July 10).   As a cancer survivor, Joe would have wanted donations to the American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
