Joseph S. Ranieri Of Thompson, PA       Joseph S. Ranieri, 73, of Thompson, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA after an illness. Joseph was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth Doherty and step father Patrick. He was survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rita Ranieri; two sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph S. Ranieri of New Hampshire and Philip J. and Stacy Ranieri of Helmetta, New Jersey; and two granddaughters Kayla and Brianna Ranieri. Joseph worked as a Millwright at General Motors in Linden, New Jersey for 30 years. After his retirement in 2000, he and his wife Rita moved to Thompson, PA, where Joseph enjoyed taking care of his property and being outdoors. He also enjoyed traveling in his RV during the winter taking several trips to Arizona as well as many of the other Southern US states. One of his favorite hobbies while in Arizona was playing Bocce Ball. Most of all Joseph loved to spend time with his family who will miss him dearly. A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. John’s Church, in Susquehanna, PA, on Friday July 17, 2015, at 11am with Rev. Charles Connor officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Thursday, from 2 to 5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
