Joseph L. Smith Of Deposit, NY Joseph L. Smith, 79 of Deposit, NY passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY. Joseph was predeceased by his very good friend Gordon Finkle. He is survived by his best friends Carolyn & Sonny DeNys; many senior citizen friends and neighbors. Joseph worked for 38 years on the Pazzelli Farm; following that he worked as a volunteer for the Broome County office for aging at the Deposit Senior Center. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Deposit, NY. He mowed multiple lawns throughout the Deposit area. Joseph enjoyed fishing with his friend Gordy and visiting and playing cards at the Senior center. He also volunteered for CHOW locally. Joseph was a friend to all who was willing to help anyone in need and will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church 14 Monument St. Deposit, NY on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11am. Following the service, interment will be in held the McClure Cemetery, Sanford, NY.
