Joseph J. YannoneAKA: “Joedog”, “Pops”, “Y”, “Pa”Of Susquehanna, PA  Joseph J. Yannone, 59, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA after an illness. Joe was born and raised in Susquehanna, PA, the son of the late John “Cuggy” D. and Anne Marie (Arcuri) Yannone. He was also predeceased by his Uncle Tony Yannone. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Deann and Frank Benacquisto; son and daughter-in-law Phil and Jennifer Yannone; two grandchildren Weston and Kierstyn Yannone; sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Peter McGowan; brother and sister-in-law Mike and Anne Yannone; sister and brother-in-law Maryrose and Richard Shaw; brother and sister-in-law John and Jennifer Yannone; and several nieces and nephews. Joe retired from the US Post office in 2012 after 29 years. He enjoyed hunting, horse race gambling, fishing on the boat, planting flowers and landscaping. Joe was an avid runner for many years, and spent several years coaching various sports for the local Susquehanna Community. He was a skilled handyman always willing to help his family and friends with countless projects. Most important to Joe though was spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends, who will dearly miss him. A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, from 3 to 5pm. At Joe’s request a celebration of his life will be held at his house, to be announced at a later date.
