Judith A. Vaccaro, 85, of Montrose, PA, formerly of Susquehanna, PA, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Endless Mountains Health Systems in Montrose, PA.

She is predeceased by her parents Grant & Margaret (Donahue) Price; brothers and sister-in-law Eugene & Ruth (VanAken) Price and Raymond Price; and nephew Raymond Price.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Michael J. Vaccaro; children Andrew & Anne Vaccaro, Michael G. & Elizabeth Vaccaro, and Ann Marie Huey; grandchildren Amanda Vaccaro, Meggie Roche (Max), Michael J. Vaccaro, Theresa Vaccaro, Joseph Vaccaro, Thomas Vaccaro, Blaine Huey, Carolyn Huey, and Samantha Huey; and one great granddaughter Artemis Roche; sisters Ruth Ellen Price and Mary Price (Chris Kuster); brother-in-law Richard & Jaqueline Vaccaro; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Judy graduated from Laurel Hill Academy in Susquehanna, PA in 1955. After high school she attended Marywood University where she earned Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. Judy taught English and Reading at Laurel Hill Academy, Windsor, Susquehanna Community, and Montrose. She was an active member of St. John’s Parish for many years. Judy was a dedicated New York Mets fan; and enjoyed old time movies Broadway musicals and Star Trek. Judy a loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her loving family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 10am at St. John’s Church, in Susquehanna, PA.

Interment will be held in St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.

The family will receive friends at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 2pm to 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen (stfranciskitchen.org), Susquehanna County Historical Society and Free Library Association (susqcolibrary.org), and Montrose Minute Men (23 Hollister Drive, Montrose, PA 18801).
