Karen Louise Adams, 69, of Thompson, PA and formerly of Philadelphia, PA, entered eternal rest after a brief and courageous battle with cancer on January 15, 2025 at the Hospice of the Scared Heart in Dunmore, PA.

Karen is survived by her loving partner of 33 years, Matthew Tarbox, Thompson, PA; twin brother, Dave Adams and wife Jane, Suwanee, GA; sister Nancy Gerhart and husband Donald, Bradenton, FL; brother Steve Adams and wife Alisa, Midlothian, VA;  sister-in-law Barbara Adams, Allentown, PA; brothers- and sister-in-law, David and Cheryl Tarbox, John Tarbox, James Tarbox, all of Susquehanna, PA; sister-in-law, Jackie Tarbox, Hallstead, PA; nieces Rebecca Pollock, Glenmore, PA; Joya Gerhart, Johnson City, TN; Charity Curyto, Bradenton, FL and grand-niece Kaylie Benzing Taylor, Bristol, TN.

Karen was predeceased by parents, Edward and Jeanne Adams, Philadelphia, PA and a brother, Edward Adams, Allentown, PA. Karen was also predeceased by her fur babies: Buddy, Willie, Oscar, Bear, Roseann and Johanna.

Karen was born on October 29, 1955, and grew up in Philadelphia. She attended Arcadia University, Glenside, Pennsylvania earning a degree in Computer Science.

Karen loved all animals, especially birds and dogs, and living close with nature. She had a special love and passion for the care and training of dogs which was a huge focus of her life. She was a 2,000 jigsaw puzzle extraordinaire, always having an active puzzle on the kitchen table. She designed and sewed Afghan blankets and needlework pieces and gave as gifts.
