Karen Ann Burton, née De Cicco, passed away on October 20, 2026, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. She was 67. Born on December 11, 1958, in Hoboken, New Jersey, Karen was raised there and graduated from high school in her hometown.

Karen devoted her life to her family as a housewife and mother. She will be remembered for the care she gave so freely and for the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. She found joy in cooking, sharing tea, doing crafts, and keeping a welcoming home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vincent De Cicco, and her mother, Elaine De Cicco. She was also preceded in death by her two infant daughters, April Fogu and Elaine Fogu, whose memory remained a part of her life and family.

Karen leaves behind a family who will cherish her memory always. She is survived by her son, Richard Caitlyn Fogu; her daughters, Donna & Hope Fogu, Nikki Fogu, Brittany Burton, Michelle & Joseph Faust, and Tiffany Burton & Roe Jachen; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Rosemary De Cicco, and Nancy De Cicco; and by her brothers, Vinnie De Cicco and Joseph & Roze DeCicco.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
