Lacey Dawn Sholtiss

Of Moab UT

January 28, 1991 - July 1, 2023

“There are special people who come into our lives who never leave us, even after they are leave this world.”

Lacey Dawn Sholtiss is one of those people. Her impact on those who met her is profound.

She was born and raised in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania and received her bachelor’s degree in marine biology from East Stroudsburg University then decided to move to the desert. She did things like that, and lived fully every day. In 2016, Lacey moved to Moab after traveling all over the United States. There was nothing more she loved than her dogs Luna, Kiva, and cat- Peanut. Lacey was also a certified beekeeper and loved everything about her bees. She loved making stained glass and pottery and had a passion for adventure, traveling, hiking, biking, reading, and was known for her green thumb.

Lacey was a ray of light to all who knew her.  She radiated joy and love and her eyes and smile would steal your breath. Please, please keep her spirit alive. Share stories of her when you gather, laugh for her, hug for her and tell your friends and loved ones you love them for her. Carry on her memory.

They say “No one is actually dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away.”

Lacey is survived by her Father John Sholtiss, Sisters Ashley & Natalie Mayle, Nephew Kai, Aunts, cousins and the family of dear friends in her desert home.

Lacey left behind so many friends and family members who loved her dearly – we would like to thank everybody who has sent kind messages or donated to help get her back home to her Family in Pennsylvania.

We will forever miss you Lacey.
