Larry Allen Spencer, 80, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2026, at his home in Great Bend Township, Pennsylvania. He was born on September 2, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio.

Larry was a proud graduate of Xenia High School in Ohio. Shortly after graduation, he answered the call of duty and served as a Crew Chief in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967, during the Vietnam War. He remained actively involved in veterans' organizations, including the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the Rolling Thunder Veterans motorcycle organization, reflecting his ongoing commitment to his fellow servicemen and women.

His professional career was highlighted by his tenure at AT&T, where he worked diligently as a manager until his retirement in 2002. Upon retiring, Larry and his beloved wife Lynne Jenks moved to Great Bend Township, where he fully embraced a life surrounded by nature. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in riding motorcycles, flying remote-controlled airplanes and drones, classic cars including his Ford Mustang, and dedicating much of his time to renovating and maintaining his homestead. A licensed pilot earlier in life, he nurtured a lifelong love of aviation and flying.

Larry’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lynne Jenks; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Spencer and Mischa Dansby; and grandson, Symon Spencer. He is also remembered by his brother Robert Spencer and his wife Karen, sister-in-law Nancy Jenks, as well as his nephew Eric Spencer and his family. Larry was predeceased by his parents, John and Katherine Spencer, and his brother Eddie Spencer.

Larry will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. There will be no Funeral Services at this time.
