Laura Ann Brownell

Laura Ann Brownell of Coxton Lake, PA       Laura Ann Brownell, 68, of Coxton Lake, PA passed away at home on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Laura is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Ron Brownell; two sons: Joe (Brendan Gill) Brownell of New York City, NY; Woody (Ellen Payne) Brownell of Coxton Lake, PA; sister, Janice Mae (Mike) Sullivan of Mesquite, NV; brother, Paul (Pat) Netta, Cheyenne, WY; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended lake family. She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Mae Netta.   Originally from Rahway, NJ, Laura moved to Starrucca after her marriage to Ron, where she owned and operated a beauty salon. For the last 28 years, she was owner of the Laurel Hill Apts. in Susquehanna, PA. Laura loved cooking and baking for friends and family, feeding the animals on the farm, and spending time with her family. Her chocolate chip cookies will be missed by many.   A private remembrance will be held during the summer at the Lake. Send Me benefits the Berea Christian School in Joyabaj, Guatemala run by Laura’s cousin; both Ron and Woody have helped with its construction.
