LaVerne M. Rhone, 82 formerly of Starrucca, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Barnes Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility in Susquehanna, PA.

He was the son of the late Orson E. & Geneva (Koehler) Rhone.

He was predeceased by his brothers-in-law William Lynch and Mason Evans; and sister-in-law Sharel Rhone.

LaVerne is survived by his two brothers and sister-in-law Kirk & Alice Rhone and Fredrick Rhone; two sisters and brother-in-law Sue Ellen Evans and Jeanine & Randy Glover; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

LaVerne worked several years at Hobb’s Market, Fred’s Market and Schnieder’s Market. He was a member of the Starrucca Baptist Church where he severed as a trustee and deacon. He also belonged to the Masonic Freedom Lodge #328 in Thompson, PA.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11am at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.

Interment will be in the Starrucca Cemetery, Starrucca, PA.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 10am to 11am.
