Lawrence (Larry, LJ, Lar-Dog) Joseph Carpenter, 77 of Susquehanna, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Meadow View Nursing Home in Montrose, PA.

He was predeceased by his parents Ken and Helen (Caulkin) Carpenter; siblings Gwen McKee, Betty DiLuizo, Vivian (Peanuts) Westbrook, James Carpenter, and Rodger Carpenter

Larry is survived by his children Tiffany (Timothy) Brewer, Nate (Amanda) Carpenter, and Larry (Jess) Upright; grandchildren Talan, Cody, and Carrie Brewer and Sophie and Caedon Upright; siblings Shelby Carpenter, Ken Carpenter Jr. (Delores), Janice Convertino (Joe), and

Terry Carpenter (Gloria); cousins and close family Kevin and Kenny McKee and many, many other cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Larry lived a life full of adventure. He loved to ride his motorcycle, had a passion for old muscle cars and loved spending time with his close friends and family. He was an avid fisherman and hunter with many crazy stories and memories over the years. He loved spending time with his grandkids hunting, fishing, and spoiling them every chance he got. He was an incredibly loving grandpa, adored his grandkids and never missed an event or activity, always their biggest cheerleader and supporter. Talan and Cody had many adventures with grandpa in the woods and on the water and Carrie had him wrapped around her finger, spoiling her every chance he got. His grandpa-era was his proudest. His fun, loving character will be missed by many.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 3pm at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 1pm to 3pm.

Interment will in Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA at a later date.
