Lawrence Edward Weeks

Lawrence E. Weeks Of Unadilla, NY   Lawrence E. Weeks, 78 of Unadilla, NY passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Valley View Manor in Norwich, NY. He was predeceased by his parents Edward D. & Theresa M. (Jaycox) Weeks; sisters Wilma Martin & Elizabeth Goulette. Lawrence is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Helen & Joel Siler of Longview TX; 17 nieces & nephews; and best friends Carl Ferrara & Jim McWeeney. Lawrence was born September 3, 1941 in Deposit, NY. He attended school at Deposit High School. He was a veteran of the US Army; he served as a Military Police Officer and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio TX. After his time in the service, Lawrence became the Chief of Police in Deposit, NY.  Following his time as a Police Officer, he went to work at Bordens in Bainbridge, NY until his retirement. He was born and raised Catholic and was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Deposit, NY. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Noon at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Inc. 78 Second St. Deposit, NY. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 10am to Noon.
