Leon "Red" Everett Allen

Leon “Red” Everett Allen Of Deposit, NY Leon E. Allen, 76 of Deposit, NY passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at his home. He was predeceased by his parents Everett & Jeanette Allen; brother Gerald W. Allen; brother-in-law Carl Cooper. Leon is survived by his sister Joan Cooper; several cousins and dear friend Delores Tomins. Leon graduated from Sidney Central High School. He worked for Becton & Dickinson for over 20 years until they moved out of the area. He then went to work at ADEC solutions, and was still currently employed. Leon was a former member of the Sidney Center Fire Department. He was also a lifetime member of the Maple Lane Assembly of God Church in Deposit, NY where he served on the Council and as a Deacon. He also spent many years working on projects at Church and volunteering wherever he was needed. Leon enjoyed cooking and was a history enthusiast; he collected several books on WWI and WWII which he donated to the Sidney library. Leon will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 11am at Maple Lane Assembly of God Church, 1 Maple Lane, Deposit, NY 13754. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10am to 11am. Interment will be held in the Highland Cemetery, Sidney Center, NY.
