Leroy O. Wayman
Of Thompson, PA
Leroy Wayman, born on March 23, 1966, in Walton, New York, peacefully passed away on June 15, 2026, in Thompson, Pennsylvania.
He was a dedicated and passionate individual who spent his entire career working as a heavy equipment operator in the Bluestone Quarries, a profession that truly captured his heart and spirit.
Leroy’s roots were firmly planted in Walton, NY, where he attended school before embarking on his lifelong vocation. Throughout his career, he was known for his skill, diligence, and unwavering commitment to his work.
Beyond his professional life, Leroy was a man who cherished family and the simple joys of life. He loved spending quality time with his grandchildren and was known for his warmth and generosity. He enjoyed hosting barbecues with family and friends, creating moments of laughter and togetherness, and had a fondness for camping and the soothing melodies of country music.
Leroy took great pride in imparting his knowledge and skills, especially to his stepchildren, whom he taught how to weld and carry out home repairs — lessons that spoke volumes about his caring and patient nature.
He leaves behind a loving circle of family and friends who will remember him fondly: his companion Cynthia L. Ballard; his children Devon Constable, Tiffany Constable, Ashly Constable; stepchildren Stephen Foote, Philip Foote, and John Ballard; his brother John Wayman; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also a proud grandfather to many grandchildren, who brought him immense joy throughout his life.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Rose Wayman.
A memorial service to honor Leroy’s life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Bridgewater Church Montrose, located at 10142 PA-167, Montrose, PA 18801.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hennessey's Funeral Home through their website or mail to 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA 18847 to help offset Funeral Expenses.
