Leslie “Chet” E. Card Jr. Of Deposit, NY Chet Card, 63 of Deposit, NY passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at UHS General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. Leslie was predeceased by his father and stepmother Leslie & Erma Card Sr.; mother and stepfather Georgiana & Crosby (Bing) Wakeman and Aunt and Uncle Stan & Marge Card; mother-in-law Ruth Whitney; best friend Ray Cawley. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Karen (Whitney) Card; daughter Amy Raymond; son Shawn Card (Tawny D’Agati); grandchildren Chase Raymond, Logan Raymond, Trenton Raymond, Wyatt Raymond, and Macie Raymond; great grandson Issac Birriel; sisters Christie Morton (Card), Hollie Card, Elaine Card, and Melanie Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law Christopher & Stella Whitney, Mark (Danny) Whitney, Robert & Caroline Whitney, Susan Whitney, Beth Bailey; cousins Doug & Carol Card and Diane Card; close friends Barbara Cawley, Candy Ferrara and Mike Nichols ; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Chet graduated from Bainbridge Guiliford High School in 1976; after high school he attended Delhi Technical College for Carpentry. Chet first worked at Mae & John’s Truckstop as a gas attendant; then he worked for Mike Finnerty, building log cabins, followed by working for Indian Country wood fabricating. Chet became disabled in 1981; after which he graduated from Ridley Lowell Business School where he studied accounting. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and music. He adored his grandchildren who were the light of his life. Chet will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. There will be private services held at the convenience of the family.
