Margaret 'Peggie' Pickering, 69, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away at Barnes-Kasson Hospital on Saturday, March 21st.

Peggie was predeceased in death by her parents, Joseph and Ellen Pooler; her brother Charles Pooler, and sister Beverly Smith.

Peggie is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Larry Pickering; stepchildren Renee Pickering and Chip Pickering; sister Shirley Swackhammer, and brother Joseph Pooler Jr; nieces Julie Swackhammer, Theresa Corse, Amy Rychlicki (Peggie's organ donor), Tina Pooler, Kelly Osterhout, and Tara Conklin; nephew Daniel Swackhammer; very special friends Judy Hilkert, Bonnie Rice, John Bixby, and Alexis Fiske.

Peggie worked at Magnetics in Hallstead for over 20 years. She most recently retired as the switchboard operator at Barnes-Kasson Hospital.

Peggie enjoyed spending time with family, especially with Larry, littles John John and Bailey, and not-so-littles Mikey and Madi. She also loved plants (she had quite the green thumb).

Peggie always had a smile on her face. No matter the medical hardship she faced, she always faced it with complete grace and pure determination.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
