Margarete (Brenner) Graves Of Susquehanna, Pa. Margarete Graves,84, of Brushville Road Susquehanna, Pa. passed away peacefully, Friday December 26, 2014 at home. She was born in Stuttgart Germany the daughter of the late Eugen and Maria (Marte) Brenner. She was predeceased by her husband Harry J. Graves; her grandbabies Robin Marie Rockwell, Tiffany Cora Rockwell; her grandson Benjamin (BJ) Rockwell; her brother Rolf Eugen Brenner and sister Ruth Gilmore. Margarete is survived by her children Carmen Rockwell; Gene (Gail) Graves; Robin (Floyd) Marvin and Shirley Koziol (Bruce Taylor); 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 5 sisters Elfried (Franz) Allig, Helga Melzig, Doris Bufe, Lore Sedlitz, Waltraud (Albert) Pfiz all of Germany; one sister-in-law Minnie Graves of Susquehanna. She loved to dance, listen to country music, going out to dinner with her family, her birds and her dog “Cowboy”. She loved life, she lived life. Margarete worked at Matis Lingerie where she met so many of her friends. She was a survivor of World War II in Stuttgart Germany when she was a young girl during the war, it made her a strong caring person her whole life. Margarete was a loving wife, mom and grandma (Oma), she was loved and was loved by her family. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 30th at 11am at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, Pa. with Chaplain Dave Petts officiating. Burial will be in the Lanesboro Cemetery in Lanesboro, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 9pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, Pa.
