Marie Gurske, 80, of Starrucca, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Barnes Kasson Hospital, in Susquehanna, PA.

She was predeceased by her parents James & Pauline Salamida.

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Louis Gurske; brother and sister-in-law Dominick & Celeste Salamida; nephew Greg & Kim Salamida; great nephew Connor Salamida; and many close friends including Kathy Crimmins, Patty Fabricius, Dan Blanche, Connie Cardullo.

Marie was born on May 27, 1944, in Easton, PA. She worked as a secretary for Singer Link and NYSEG in Kirkwood for several years until her retirement. As well as being a secretary she was also a proofreader. She enjoyed reading books and visiting with her friends at the Free Library in Susquehanna, PA. She was a loving wife, sister, and aunt who will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 10am at St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA.

Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Starrucca, PA.
