Marilyn L. Mott, 95, of Deposit, NY, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY.

She was predeceased by her husband Kermit C. Mott Sr.; and parents, Lewis & Helen Furgeson.

Marilyn is survived by her children Vicki & Roger Brainard and Kermit & Linda Mott Jr.; grandchildren Randy & Rachelle Brainard, Tracie Braren, Scott & Sara Tweedie, Chris & Mindy Tweedie, and Marcie White (Chad); great grandchildren AJ Hanrahan, Aceleinn, Riese, Zoey Brainard, Logan Tweedie, Oliver Tweedie, Mikalla Tweedie, CJ & Shay Tweedie, Alice & Travis Alteria, William & Emmalynn White, and Derrick White; close family friends Marcia Rossi, Wayne Winne, and Erik Braren; and 4 legged grandson Rocky.

Marilyn was raised in Long Eddy, NY till she was 13. She then moved to Deposit where she met her husband Kermit C. Mott Sr. whom she married February 28, 1946. Marilyn was a charter member of the Deposit Fire Department Auxiliary and a member of the Deposit Lion’s Club. She enjoyed going to Bingo, Square Dancing, and traveling to the Ocean. Marilyn will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 1pm at Christ Episcopal Church of Deposit, 14 Monument St. Deposit, NY.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 11am till 1pm.

Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Deposit, NY will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 10am.
