Marilyn M. Tarbox Of Fishes Eddy, NY   Marilyn M. Tarbox “Mert” 52 of Fishes Eddy, New York, passed unexpectedly on Friday July 19, 2019 at Wilson Hospital. Mert was predeceased by her father, John Tarbox, her mother Marilyn Gifford, her brother James Tarbox Sr., her nephew James Tarbox Jr., step father Richard Gifford and brother-in law Melvin Reed. She is survived by her three children Emily, Anthony, Virginia Cecere, the father of her children James Cecere and her grandson Emmit Alexander Buteau. Siblings JoAnn Bice, Jonnie Reed, Judy (David) Gould, Karen (Jay) Homan, Kevin (Deborah) Tarbox, Kim Wormuth, Kathy (Rick) Snyder, Richard (Michele) Gifford Jr. & many nieces and nephews. Also, her companion Tim Haynes. Mert grew up in a huge family that taught her to love unconditionally and make the best out of every situation.  She was the strongest in the darkest hours when we needed her the most. She held us together in the most unstable situations. Mert was the most unselfish loving and undeserving person to have her life cut so short. You will be forever missed. We know you are surrounded by many loved ones both family and extended family. I know you are with them and watching over all of us. Rest peacefully and know we love & will forever miss you.   For many years she worked at Achieve. Mert was a resident assistant. She loved her job and helping others unconditionally. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Achieve.   There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday July 28th, 1:00pm at Deposit Fireman's Park Pavilion.
