Marjorie A. Wood Of Susquehanna, PA Marjorie A. Wood, 92 of Susquehanna, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, April 16, 2021. Marge was predeceased in death by her parents Catherine and Lee Hillis, her husband Edward Wood, son Marty Wood, son-in-law Jeff Boughton, sisters, Rita Hillis, Lorraine (Ivan) Pickering, Patsy (Glenn) Tarbox and brother Fritz (Patty) Hillis. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in law, Richard (Thelma) Wood, William Wood, Ellen (Earl) Stockholm, Mary Ranucci, Shirley Demoski, Margaret (Howard) Palmer, Linda (Bob) Keller and Harriet (Roy) Canales. Marge is survived by her daughters, Nancy Boughton and Diane (Arnold) Terpstra. She is also survived by six devoted grandchildren, Christi Boughton (Pete Farrar), Julie (Pete) Rowe, Brian (Nancy) Boughton, Jessica (Kevin) Dubanowitz, Leann Terpstra and William Terpstra (Cassidy Walters). Great grandchildren Liam, Rowan, Adelyn and Logan Albert, Porter Rowe, Stella and Sylvia Boughton, Jenna and Leah Dubanowiitz. Her sister-in-law Cally Wood, brothers-in-law David (Virginia) Wood, Paul Ranucci, Paul Demoski and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her longtime friends, Jean, Babe, Shirley, Audrey and Linda. Marge lived most of her life in Susquehanna. She was a 1946 graduate of Laurel Hill Academy and was employed by Security Mutual and the Susquehanna Community School District until her retirement. Marge was very active in her Community and Church. Our Mother was known to send cards to many people. Very rarely did she miss sending a card to someone for their birthday, holiday etc. or just to let them know that she was thinking of them. The family would like to thank Dr. P. Patel and the Staff at Barnes Kasson SNF for the care given to our Mother for the short time that she was there. Marge was a lifelong member of St. John’s the Evangelist Church in Susquehanna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, PA, with Rev. David Cramer officiating. The family will receive friends at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave, Susquehanna, PA on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marge’s name to St. John’s Church, 15 E. Church St, Susquehanna, PA 18847 or SNF Activities Fund, 2872 Turnpike St, Susquehanna, PA 18847. But more important, to honor our Mother send a card or two to someone you haven’t seen or talked to in a while to brighten up their day because that is how people felt, when they received one of Mom’s cards.
