Martin Bachrach, of Deposit, NY passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 15, 2023, in Deposit, NY.

He was predeceased by his parents Sidney & Jacqueline Bachrach, and sisters Phyllis and Marsha.

Martin is survived by the love of his life of 51 years Maria (Palumbo) Bachrach; children Andrew & Annie Bachrach and Stephanie & Dean Fox; grandchildren Skylar Bergman, Brooklyn Bachrach and Bennett Bachrach; sister Andi Byer (Ronnie); nephews Darren and Josh; cousins Nancy and Rick; other nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends from Camp Kahagon and many friends throughout the years.

Martin was born and raised in Queens, NY. After High School. He attended college and graduated from Oklahoma University. After college Martin moved back to New York and met his wife and then they moved to Deposit, NY. Once in Deposit he worked with his father-in-law as a contractor. Shortly after he started his own contracting business which he ran until he retired. After he retired, he spent time as a substitute teacher and worked with Global FGF as an international associate in China. Martin served as Mayor of Deposit for many years and a lifetime member of Deposit Fire Department. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Giants and Oklahoma Sooners fans. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and seeing them grow.  He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 4pm at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 78 Second St. Deposit, NY 13754.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday, from 2 to 4pm.
