Mary Ryan Baker

Mary Ryan Baker Of Susquehanna, PA   Mary Baker, 101 of Susquehanna, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the LKR Personal Care Home in Lanesboro, PA. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband John Donald Baker; her parents William J. & Frances M. Ryan; brother and sister-in-law Jerome & Alma Ryan; and best friend Virginia Evans. She is survived by her guardian Nancy Culnane; caretaker Leslie Rivenburg ; cousins Eugene & Nancy Baker, Mary Kay Sienko and Margaret S. Frederick;  and 11 nieces and nephews. Mary was a secretary at the Susquehanna Community School District until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of the St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Susquehanna, PA. She also was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Nellie Jane DeWitt BPW organization. Mary will always be remembered for her dedication to her faith and will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. A thank you should also be extended to Joe and Linda Schell for taking Mary to church and to Lisa Winner for styling Mary’s hair. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10am at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Susquehanna, PA with Rev. David Cramer officiating. Interment will be in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA at a later date. Family and Friends can attend visitation at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Saturday January 26, 2019 from 9 to 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Roman Catholic Church 101 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.
