Mary Brenda Briggs

Mary Brenda Briggs Of Deposit, NY Mary Brenda Briggs, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 24, 2021. She was born April 23, 1940 to Charles and Brenda Russell and grew up in Binghamton and Columbia Lake in Deposit where she met her husband, Alden Briggs. They were married on June 13, 1959 and raised 6 children. Mary Brenda was a loving and caring person who touched the lives of many people. Her kindness and outpouring love were unmatched. She had tremendous faith with much love for the Lord and her family. Mary Brenda leaves behind her loving children: Buddy, Laurie, Mary Kay, Bob, Betsy, and Joey; grandchildren: Mickey and John Antoni, Logan, Lauren, and Jenna Gifford, and Owen Briggs; son-in-law Ed Hughes; sister Jean Shevlin; brother-in-law Eddie Briggs; and sisters-in-law Joan Briggs and Pat Ackerman; also, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Alden, and her brother, Firefighter John Russell. Calling hours will be Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 4-7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Deposit, and a funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s.
